{Wardrobe Wednesday} Don't Sweat It

It's no secret that sweatshirts have become my go -to this season � in fact, they've creeped up in outfit posts at a rate that would have alarmed 2010 Vickie. That's right my friends, only a few short years ago I would have turned my nose up at such items, scoffing at the very idea that sweatshirts could even remotely be a thing... Boy was past Vickie wrong! Now my collection seems to be growing by the day (don't worry Mr. AiF, it's just a figure of speech), so I figured I would show you all my current faves, plus a few that I have my eye on... Hey, you can never have too much of a good thing, am I right?

{DIY} Kenzo-Inspired Eye Clutch...

 

I'm a big Kenzo fan, and even though I still have tiger fever, I was pretty excited by their new eye motif... Plus the fact that I could quickly and easily recreate the clutch for a whole lot less didn't hurt either.

Wanna get your Kenzo on too? Grab your art supplies ladies, because this DIY is as fun as it is simple!

Supplies: 

• Simple black clutch (I got mine from Forever 21)
• Black sharpie
• White acrylic paint
• Thin brush

 

Start by drawing the eye shape on the clutch using a black Sharpie (Note: Don't worry about making mistakes at this stage � you'll be covering over the marker soon). Using small, even brushstrokes, start painting in the whites of the eye with your acrylic paint. Give the clutch a second coat of paint, and once your design is completely dry, clean up any smudges with your Sharpie... Easy does it.

{Style} The Statement Sweater...

I feel like a total traitor in saying this, but I internally fist pump whenever temperatures drop and the days get a little crisp around here... Wtf is wrong with me, you ask? Well I'm sorry, but if loving layering as much as I do is wrong, then I don't want to be right. Besides, it's been months since I've worn a sweater let alone popped a collar underneath one, so I figured I was long overdue for a Kenzo moment... Next up is tights, but if I say that aloud Kastles might just beat me with a stick.

{Style} Tiger Fever...

Well, I did it... I finally caved and bought a Kenzo tiger sweatshirt because, well, it kind of felt like my last chance. They're just so hard to track down right now (I've long given up on finding a green one) that I couldn't help but scoop one up when I found one on Jonathan + Olivia last week... Now it's all happy dances and tiger-induced smiles for this girl.
