Winter is in full swing (happy December, by the way!), so to counteract its morale-bursting effects, I decided to wear all the pink I could stomach in one sitting... And believe me, my pink tolerance is low. But you know what? Turns out it's basically impossible to have a bad day or be sad (with a double 'd') when you're wearing this obnoxiously bright shade. Seriously now, winter neons � do it.

It's no secret I love nail polish, and even if you spent three seconds on my Instagram, you would know that I have a serious sweet tooth as well... Luckily for me the two go together like nobody's business, and I certainly can't complain about having edible props for a change!

Above are my favourite shades/wraps for summer in the digit-department � And believe me when I tell you it was nearly impossible to narrow it down to just six. From sizzling shades of hot pink and neon green, to softer pallets brimming with mints and lilacs, I'm always down for a fun summer mani... Oh the possibilities.

When it comes to summer attire, it doesn't get much better than pops of colour and playful motifs in the form of accessories. This bag pretty much epitomizes summer styling in my mind, what with its vibrant hue and cheeky embellishment... Just throw in some bright baubles and a great printed jean, and you've got yourself all the makings for a sweet, late summer outfit.

{Style} Into The Trees...

Always down for a little stripe-on-stripe action (does that sound weird?), I thought I would go for gold by pairing vertical and horizontal stripes, a no-no by most quadra-plus-generarian standards. Regardless, I'm digging the combo and how it just happened to perfectly match the backdrop... Talk about a happy accident! To illustrate the awesomeness of this outfit/backdrop combo-coincidence, I'd like to borrow these sage words from ICP: "There's enough miracles here to blow your brains... Magic everywhere in this bitch." Well said boys... well said.

Sometimes a deal is just too good to pass up, like this � wait for it � $7 (!!!) dress from H&M. That's right my friends, 7 big ones... I'll just give you a minute to let that sink in. 

Now it might not look as good on me as it does on Beyonce (her giant posters pretty much taunted me during checkout), but I don't mind � Like I said before, a deal's a deal. Good thing I'm a sucker for a landscape print, huh?

New bags make everything better, even if I'm slightly scared to use this one for fear of ruining its perfectness... Metallic bags are beautiful yet oh-so fragile (I'm speaking from experience here people!), so I'm watching my every move (and denim encounter) where this Milly satchel is concerned. Apparently I can learn from my mistakes � RIP Betsey Johnson bag.

Fun facts: 1. The guest star/grounding element of this outfit is a five-year-old denim jacket that I long had written off, and 2. I have a major stye situation happening right now. Luckily for me you can't really tell that my jacket is old enough for kindergarten OR that my left eyelid is swollen to nearly double its size, so let's go ahead and chalk this post up as a huge success... God bless bangs and good lighting, am I right?

Sometimes the greatest combos are the most unexpected, like, oh I don't know, a green-toned jungle print paired with a vibrant coral... Hypothetically, of course. But seriously now, there's just something about taking a couple opposites, throwing them together and just watching the dumbfounded looks on people's faces, you know what I mean? Cue the evil genius laugh... xx
