Friday is finally here, which means Mr. AiF and I are off to a weekend in the mountains... A snowy, Christmas-themed getaway courtesy of the Edmonton Journal that encourages gorging on decadent foods and festive fun including � but not limited to � holiday crafts... Needless to say, we're pretty pumped. And if I don't succumb to a flock of feisty geese or an aggressive mink while I'm up there (hey, it happens),  I'll see you guys back here on Monday.

Sometimes the stars align and the photo gods smile down on me... And other times it just rains. But this time � joy of joys! � was of the stars-aligning variety, because my pal Brittney and I stumbled on this adorable amusement park while visiting a small town for work. It was still being set up at the time, but the super nice staff gave us free-range of the park, which we pretty much ran around like school girls until we were too hungry to keep going... And believe me when I tell you that no one likes "hangry" Vickie.

{Style} One More Time...

If you were driving down the streets of Calgary yesterday and saw a girl flashing you in a black skirt, that was probably me. But hey, YOU try controlling your hair and skirt on a mega-windy day... Not easy. Luckily we were able to keep it together long enough to snap a few pics and minimize the number of creepy dudes making even creepier comments. And for the record guys, yelling "pull up your skirt" at a girl on the side of the road is probably not the best way to make an impression... Sorry to break it to you.

It's been an action-packed few days, with highlights including a trip to the ballet, a (terrifying) win at the Yeggies for best in fashion & style, several calorie fests and, of course, this glorious weather we've been having as of late. It actually feels like summer around here, and I for one couldn't be happier to swap my dreary winter duds once and for all in favour of breezy separates and bright colours... Bring it on, summer.

Well friends, we made it � Happy Friday! Hope you guys all have nice, fun-filled weekends... Mine's going to be pretty movie-centric, with equal parts cleaning, shopping (ooooh yeah) and snuggle time. Try not to be too jealous. xx
