Hello lovelies! I've been keeping a pretty exciting secret from you guys for the past few weeks... Now I know that's not how friends roll, but hopefully you'll forgive me when you hear what it is. Are you ready? Drum roll please... I've partnered with Forever 21 on their back to school campaign, "Declare Your Style," which means that for the next three weeks you'll be seeing tons of trends, killer deals and looks styled by yours truly! How awesome is that?!
First up, we're talking leggings...
Although not generally a garment I gravitate towards, I had a lot of fun going outside my comfort zone to style looks around the brand's assortment of print-heavy leggings. They're a huge component of the their back to school offerings (watch for online deals August 5!), and pair nicely with their bevy of tops, outerwear and accessories, the latter for which in case you couldn't tell from previous outfit posts I have a bit of an affinity for.

When styling the leggings, I learned a few valuable lessons; namely, pay attention to fit where prints are concerned to avoid unflattering stretching and pulling. Also, consider proportion, pairing leggings with longer, flowing tops and outerwear. Finally, only chose styles, colours and patterns that are flattering to your body type looking good should always take priority over chasing trends.

But wait, there's more! I'll also be participating in Forever 21's Global Queen B Style-Off, where you can vote each week for your favourite participating blogger. I'll be representing Canada in this one, so be sure to show your love and vote for me here. If I get the most votes, Forever 21 will make a donation of my behalf to Artbound, a not-for-profit initiative aimed at breaking the cycle of poverty in developing countries. Contest closes on August 21, so be sure to get your votes in!
Check out this adorable video to get a taste of what's to come, and stay tuned for some seriously fun posts coming your way over the next three weeks! xx
